Aguas Claras Trail

Discover one of the most special crossings of Chapada Diamantina. A walk in open fields that we call general fields around here. We will be able to see several gigantic and impressive mountains and mountains along the way. It is a very special area, as many springs flow from there, including the Ribeirão River.

We will also see the Morrão up close, one of the main postcards of Vale do Capão. To see Morrão completely, we need to take the tour via an alternative route.

What we eat?

Picnic

During the walks, the picnic is equivalent to lunch. We prepare some meals trying to balance vitamins, proteins, fiber and carbohydrates.

Safety

Local Trekking guides with a lot of experience gained on courses and trips in Chapada Diamantina. In addition to security protocols that begin with serving our participants through consultation forms.

During operations we use portable radio communicators in addition to the Spot X bilateral satellite communicator with S.O.S. button. for extreme situations.

Águas Claras Trail

We will leave at 8:00 and take BR-242 to the base of Morro do Pai Inácio, where the trail entrance is. Our trail begins at an old hut that served as a support point for ancient travelers who passed through there. From there, it will be 9km (2 hours) on mostly flat terrain until we reach Cachoeira Águas Claras. On the way, we can see many mountain ranges and hills of different shapes and very impressive sizes.

When we arrive at the waterfall, the guide will prepare a snack for the group while everyone can enjoy the view of the mountains and take a refreshing bath in the crystal clear waters.

The return depends on the chosen modality (day trip or crossing). In both options, the approximate distance is 9km.

To complete your reservation, an upfront payment of 50% is required, which can be made through bank transfer, bank deposit, or boleto (Brazilian payment method). For credit card payments, there is an additional 6% charge, and you can pay in up to 12 installments, depending on the rates of PagSeguro, Mercado Pago, and similar services. The remaining 50% must be paid upon check-in in cash or via bank transfer up to 2 business days before the trekking. *It's imperative to send the payment receipt with the confirmation of the dates, full name, and CPF (Brazilian tax ID) of the participant(s).

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation Conditions: In the event of passenger-initiated cancellation, in accordance with Embratur Normative Deliberation No. 161 of August 9, 1985, MAMUT TREKKING will make refunds according to the conditions below:
We reserve the right to change the planned itinerary whenever weather conditions are unfavorable for the safety of participants.
There will be no cancellation due to bad weather, and the tour will be conducted even in the case of rain or cloudy weather, except in the event of force majeure.
In the case of cancellation by the consumer, refunds will be made according to Embratur Normative Deliberation No. 161 of August 9, 1985, under the following conditions:
The customer can provide a substitute.
The customer can keep the amount as credit to participate on another date.

If neither of the above options is viable, the following percentage deductions will be applied to the total paid:
Cancellation with 30 days or more in advance: 90% of the total amount paid.
Cancellation with 21 to 29 days in advance: 80% of the total amount paid.
Cancellation with 7 to 20 days in advance: 50% of the total amount paid.
Cancellation with less than 7 days in advance: No refund.
Cancellations during packages: No reimbursement.

Change in Itinerary: Verify with the agency the conditions.

Participation and Reservation Fee: Once the reservation is confirmed, a penalty of 10% of the value of this itinerary will be charged in the event of a no-show. No-Show is defined as not showing up on the date, time, and location specified for boarding, resulting in the total loss of the amount paid. Passengers who, of their own free will, disengage from the group during the trip or change the contracted accommodation will assume any and all expenses resulting from this decision, with no right to reimbursement.

Sua segurança, conforto e diversão são nossas prioridades. Por isso, contamos com guias formados em cursos de APH (Atendimento Pré-Hospitalar) e CMC (Competências Mínimas de Condução) conforme as normas da ABNT, além de alguns com certificação WAFA. Todos os guias estão equipados com kits de primeiros socorros para áreas remotas, e trazem consigo ampla experiência em montanha.
No entanto, salientamos que não se trata de uma atividade 100% segura, mesmo com todos os cuidados, prevenções e responsabilidades que adotamos, imprevistos e acidentes podem ocorrer. Como em praticamente todas as atividades de aventura em ambientes naturais, há um elemento de risco (animais peçonhentos, quedas com fraturas e escoriações, tempestades, inundações, acidentes em geral, etc.). A viagem escolhida ocorre em locais selvagens, onde procedimentos de resgate podem ser demorados (podendo levar mais de 5 horas para o início do socorro, serviço não incluído em nossa reserva). Quebras mecânicas no veículo de transporte também podem provocar atrasos ou alterações na viagem. Por isso ressaltamos a extrema importância dos participantes portarem todos os equipamentos obrigatórios informados na aba checklist. A falta de equipamentos obrigatórios impossibilitará a participação na atividade.
