Pantanal Marimbus

General Information

The Experience

Discover one of the most interesting biomes in Chapada Diamantina, the Pantanal Marimbus, where the rivers and waterfalls of Chapada Diamantina flow into a plain that is quite flooded.

The boat trip is one of the favorite moments of those who accompany us, it is 9 km traveling through the waters of the Pantanal with the Serra do Sincorá in the background, and at the end, a refreshing swim in Cachoeira do Roncador.

Pay close attention to protection against the sun and insects, therefore it is essential to use repellent, sunscreen, UV shirts and general protection against the sun’s rays.

What we'll eat

Picnic

During the walks, the picnic is equivalent to lunch. We prepare some meals trying to balance vitamins, proteins, fiber and carbohydrates.

Safety

Local Trekking guides with a lot of experience gained on courses and trips in Chapada Diamantina. In addition to security protocols that begin with serving our participants through consultation forms.

During operations we use portable radio communicators in addition to the Spot X bilateral satellite communicator with S.O.S. button. for extreme situations.

The itinerary may undergo changes due to weather conditions or any force majeure factor that those responsible deem important.

Safety at Pantanal Marimbus

Your safety, comfort, and enjoyment are our priorities. That’s why we rely on guides trained in Pre-Hospital Care (PHC) and Minimum Conduct Competencies (CMC) courses according to ABNT standards, with some guides also certified in WAFA. All guides are equipped with first-aid kits for remote areas and bring extensive mountain experience. However, please note that this is not a 100% risk-free activity. Despite all precautions, preventative measures, and responsibilities we undertake, unforeseen events and accidents can happen. Like nearly all adventure activities in natural environments, there is an element of risk (venomous animals, falls with fractures and abrasions, storms, flooding, general accidents, etc.). The chosen trip takes place in wilderness locations, where rescue procedures may take time (and may take more than 5 hours to begin, a service not included in our reservation). Mechanical issues with the transport vehicle may also cause delays or alterations to the trip. Therefore, we emphasize the importance of all participants bringing the mandatory equipment listed under the checklist tab. The absence of mandatory equipment will prevent participation in the activity.
