6 Days Package at Chapada Diamantina
This package is the perfect choice for those with a longer stay in Chapada Diamantina and who wish to visit the most emblematic and extraordinary places in the region. Over 6 days, we gather diverse experiences such as trekking, canyoning, community-based tourism, and the most impactful attractions of the area.
The activity starts in Lençóis, but there is the option of transfer from Palmeiras and the village of Guiné (Mucugê). For the first 3 days, we will follow the traditional route of Vale do Pati, passing through Mirante da Rampa, Igrejinha, Morro do Castelo, Gruta da Lapinha, Cachoeira dos Funis, and Mirante do Cachoeirão por Cima. The experience in Vale do Pati is already a spectacle in itself, which you can explore in more detail here.
In the following days, we will be staying in the rural area of Ibicoara, which provides access to both Cachoeira do Buracão (optional rappelling) and, on the next day, Cachoeira da Fumacinha. On the last day, we will return to Lençóis passing through Poço Encantado and Poço Azul.

1st DAY – MIRANTE DO PATI + IGREJINHA
On the first day, we will depart from Lençóis at 7:30 am towards the village of Guiné, where we will start the trail. We will walk for about 3 hours (1 hour uphill and 2 hours on flat terrain) to the Traditional Viewpoint of the Pati Valley. After a snack, we will walk another 1 hour and 30 minutes towards Igrejinha, where we will be warmly welcomed by Mr. João and his family at the famous Igrejinha lodge.

2nd DAY – MORRO DO CASTELO + WATERFALLS
We will depart at 8:00 am after a hearty breakfast at Igrejinha and head towards Morro do Castelo. This will be the day with the most physical effort, as we will climb a hill with over 1,200m of altitude. At the top of Morro do Castelo, we will visit 3 different viewpoints and Lapinha Cave, one of the rarest caves in the world, located at over 1,000m altitude. We will return by a different path and visit Lajes Waterfall and Funis Waterfall before returning to Igrejinha around 6:00 pm.

3rd DAY – CACHOEIRÃO + ALEIXOS
We will say goodbye to our accommodation and depart at the same time, 8:00 am. We will walk for about 3 hours to the Cachoeirão Viewpoint, which is approximately 280m high. If we are in a rainy season, we may be able to see about 16 waterfalls around the valley. It’s thrilling! After the snack prepared by our guide, we will continue through Gerais do Vieira to the Aleixos descent, where our car will be ready around 5:00 pm to transfer us to Ibicoara, more precisely to the Baixão region.

4th DAY – CACHOEIRA DO BURACÃO + CACHOEIRA DO RECANTO VERDE + CACHOEIRA DAS ORQUÍDEAS
We will travel for about 30 minutes from the accommodation to the trailhead. It’s a 3km walk to the top of the waterfall, where we will have the opportunity to admire the incredible and refreshing view of the waterfall. Along the way, we can refresh ourselves at Recanto Verde Waterfall and Orquídeas Waterfall.
The trail to the waterfall is relatively easy, with some steep sections and stairs. Upon reaching the canyon’s edge, we will need to descend a wooden staircase to reach the river. At this point, we will follow the river by swimming or climbing until we reach Cachoeira do Buracão.
The waterfall drop at Cachoeira do Buracão is impressive, and it’s possible to swim in the crystal-clear pool formed by it. After enjoying the waterfall, we will return along the same path to the park entrance, where we will have a typical regional lunch prepared by local residents.

5th DAY – CACHOEIRA DA FUMACINHA + CACHOEIRA DO ENCONTRO
The hike starts in a cerrado area and follows trails and dirt roads to the riverbed. From there, the hike continues along the riverbed, with several stops for swimming in pools and small waterfalls.
The final stretch of the hike is the most challenging, with several ascents and descents amid canyons with walls reaching over 100 meters in height. The use of safety equipment is necessary to overcome some of the more difficult passages.
Upon reaching Cachoeira da Fumacinha, we will take a break for a well-deserved rest and to admire the scenery. The return follows the same path as the outbound hike. In the late afternoon, we will transfer from Baixão to the town of Mucugê.

6th DAY – POÇO AZUL + POÇO ENCANTADO
For the last day, we have chosen the lightest excursion after such intense days. We will travel by car, after breakfast, towards Poço Encantado. There, we can contemplate a huge underground pool of crystal-clear water that reveals a true natural spectacle of blue light; swimming is prohibited to maintain the geological formations safe. After lunch, we will visit Poço Azul, similar to the previous one, but here we can do a brief float on the crystal-clear waters. The pool is about 20 meters deep. Fossils of prehistoric animals such as Giant Sloth, Saber-Toothed Tiger, among others, have been found here. After the float, we will drive for about 2 hours to the town of Lençóis, where we will conclude the package.

To finalize your reservation, a 50% advance payment is required via bank transfer, bank deposit, or boleto. For card payments, there is a 5% surcharge, and we offer installment plans of up to 12 times, according to PagSeguro’s rates. The remaining 50% must be paid upon check-in in cash (or bank deposit up to 2 business days before the trekking)*It is essential to send the payment receipt with confirmation of dates, full name, and CPF of the participant(s).

Cancellation Policy
Cancellation Conditions: In case of cancellation by the passenger’s initiative, according to EMBRATUR’s normative deliberation nº 161 of August 9, 1985, MAMUT TREKKING will make the refund according to the conditions below:We reserve the right to change the planned itinerary whenever the weather conditions are not favorable to the safety of the participants.
There will be no cancellation due to bad weather, so the tour will be carried out even in rain and/or cloudy weather, except in case of force majeure.
In case of cancellation by the consumer, there will be a refund according to normative deliberation nº 161, of August 9, 1985 of Embratur, under the following conditions:
The customer provides a substitute.
The customer may leave the amount in credit, to participate on another date.
If it is not viable to apply the previous hypotheses, the following percentages will be applied on the amount paid:
Cancellation up to 30 days in advance: 90% of the total paid.
Cancellation from 21 to 29 days in advance: 80% of the total paid.
Cancellation from 7 to 20 days in advance: 50% of the total paid.
Cancellation with less than 7 days in advance: No refund.
Cancellations during packages: No refund.

Participation and reservation fee: Once the reservation is confirmed, 10% of the value referring to this itinerary is charged as a penalty in case of cancellation No-Show: Failure to appear on the date, time, and location determined for boarding will be considered a no-show, resulting in the total loss of the amount paid. The passenger who, of their own free will, disconnects from the group during the trip or changes the contracted accommodation will assume all expenses resulting from this attitude, without the right to a refund.

What we'll eat?
Breakfast and Dinner
Breakfast and dinner are prepared at the accommodations where we stay. The menu varies daily and is very hearty.
Picnic
During the hikes, the picnic is equivalent to lunch. We prepare some meals aiming to balance vitamins, proteins, fibers, and carbohydrates.
Where we'll sleep?
We will be accommodated in the homes of local natives in Vale do Pati, in shared rooms (please inform us in advance if you require private rooms). For the rest of the overnight stays, we will have private rooms.
Safety
Local trekking guides with extensive experience acquired through courses and journeys in the Chapada Diamantina region. In addition to safety protocols that begin with our participant inquiries through consultation forms.
During our operations, we use portable two-way radios as well as a satellite two-way communicator like the Spot X with an SOS button for extreme situations.
